Russian visa
Entry to the Russian Federation demands to obtain Russian Tourist Visa for the period of staying in the country. Presence of the visa as well as passports is checked by passport control at arrival to Russia and departure from the country, at hotels accommodation on the territory of the Russian Federation, in trains, planes and ships, both on internal and on the international lines. Visa is issued on the base of the invitation (visa support from the Russian side) in Russian consulates.
To obtain Russian Tourist visa support, the following information must be presented to Russian Consulates:
- Filled in visa application form (one per person) for tourist visa authorization.
- Valid national passport (its validity should exceed the planned date of departure from Russia for 3 months).
- Three black-and-white passport-size matt-finish photographs.
- The invitation from an authorized Russian agent, that is:
- Confirmation of the hotel accommodation of foreign tourist.
- Tourist voucher.
The important information: the visa fee is paid in Russian Consulates in your country. The visa fee is different in each and every country as well as terms of visa papers issuing.
You lose your money in case Russian Consulate of your country refuses to give you visa.
Russian visa is a passport size document, which can be stamped or inserted into the passport. It contains entry and exit dates, passport number, children traveling with you, and visa type. It also can list, but not limit, the cities you plan to visit.
Visa is also an arrival to and departure from the country permission. You are to register visa during 72 hours after arrival to Russia. In case of visa registration fixed date exceeding the penalty is charged by bodies of home affairs.
When crossing the border, tourist must get and fill in the migration card, one part of which he (she) will show while registering the visa at hotel and keep it till departure from Russia. In case you loose it you can come across with difficulties upon departure from the country.
Upon check-in at the hotel, you are to submit your passport, migration card and the original visa for hotel registration.
The Russian visa prolongation is possible only under force-mages circumstances (war operations, natural calamities, etc.) and also in case of:
- The tourist departure impossibility proved by corresponding medical certificates of the standard form.
- Impossibility of tourist departure from the territory of the Russian Federation due to flight delay or cancellation.
Only your Russian authorized agent can be engaged with the difficult procedure of tourist visa prolongation. Prolongation of the visa registered in proper way, is not possible, and departure from the territory of the Russian Federation with the unregistered visa always attracts high penalties sanctions at the passport control.

The visa support is granted only under condition of tourist’s accommodation in the hotels, having passport office and providing foreign citizens with visa registration.
The visa support is granted for terms according to the program of tourists staying on the territory of the Russian Federation but no longer than for terms of staying in hotels and moving by transport on the territories of the Russian Federation confirmed by appropriate travel papers under condition of 100% prepayment for hotel accommodation for whole term of staying on the territory of the Russian Federation according to the program and additional services including: excursion program and transport services.
In case hotel is not booked through «Continent-Tourgroup» company, visa support procedure can not be provided.
To obtain Russian Tourist visa support, the following information must be forwarded to our Company:
- The application form on the letterhead of organization with the indication of the legal and payment essential elements, containing the information concerning hotel reserved, terms of the tourist staying in the hotel, additional services, payment guarantee and the obligations of the customer to observe passport-visa regime on the territory of the Russian Federation.
- Filled-in visa application form (one per every person) for tourist visa authorization.
It will take not less than 24 hours to issue visa support papers from the moment of 100% prepayment for hotel accommodation for the whole period of the tourist staying in the hotel due to the program.
In case of trip cancellation the penalty in the amount of the first night accommodation is charged from the tourist.
